Sticky Apple Cinnamon Biscuits
Adapted from Gooey Cinnamon Biscuits by Two Peas and their Pod . Biscuits 2 cup All-purpose flour 2/3 cup Rolled oats 1 tbsp Brown sugar 2 tsp Baking powder 1tsp Cinnamon 1/2 tsp Salt 2 cup Heavy cream (or 1/4 cup unsalted butter + 1 3/4 cup whole milk) 2 Apples, medium size, cut into 1 cm cubes Filling 6 tbsp Brown sugar 2 tsp Cinnamon Toppings 1 Apple, medium size, cut into thin slices 1/3 cup Confectioner's sugar 1tsp Vanilla extract Preheat oven to 425°F. Lightly greased a 9x9" baking pan or use a silicone mold. For the filling, combine brown sugar and cinnamon with a fork. Mix well. Take 1-1.5 tbsp of this mixture and sprinkle over the sliced apples; toss to coat. Set aside the remaining sugar mixture aside. For the biscuit, mix together the flour, rolled oats, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon and salt in a large bowl. Break up any clumps of brown sugar.
